A new report from Sky Sports  today has linked Fulham Left-Back Joe Bryan with a potential move to Southampton this January.

It is no mystery that Southampton and Ralph Hasenhuttl want to bring in a new full-back or even possible two this transfer window so it should come as no surprise to supporters they have been linked with yet another one.

Joe Bryan, is in his second season with the club and has been playing well in the Championship helping Fulham fight for promotion again. He has made 28 appearances this season and has collected a goal and 3 assists from the left-back spot.

Defensively, he is solid as well. He has been averaging 2.8 tackles per match and 1.2 interceptions as well. On the attacking side of things he averages 1.1 key passes per match and 2.7 long balls.

This is exactly the type of full-back Hasenhuttl is looking for and with a price tag around £7m this could be a steal for the club to strengthen the left-back position.

They reportedly face competition with Watford for the signature of the Englishman. This could be a busy week for Saints as they are reportedly meeting with Kyle Walker-Peters as well in hopes to lure the young Right-back to the club with a 6-month loan deal.

We are nearing the hallway point of January and I suspect if the club were to bring in a player or two it will happen sooner rather than later as Ralph would want to get them up to speed as quickly as possible.
