Midfielders

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Central-Midfield – 7

A performance that went under the radar but Saints would miss him if he was unavailable, that’s for sure.

James Ward-Prowse, Central-Midfield (Right-Back) – 9

Everywhere, and not just because he played right-back for most of the game.

Five successful tackles, three interceptions, three clearances and 56 passes. And yes, he still has Zaha in his pocket.

Stuart Armstrong, Right-Midfield – 8

One stunning goal and could have had more with six shots in total. Really suits this system and will want to improve further from here on.

Nathan Redmond, Left-Midfield – 8

Wonderful goal when controlling, spinning his marker and smashing in a strike from just outside the area.

Assisted Armstrong’s second too, so can he keep contributing consistently for the rest of the campaign?
