Strikers and Substitutes

Shane Long, Striker – 5

Quiet, and missed a big chance to seal the result with just Guaita to beat. Has done more than enough for the team recently though.

Michael Obafemi, Striker – 7

In for Ings and worked hard as he always does. Four successful dribbles and could have had an assist had Long finished the game off late on.

Oriol Romeu, 1st Substitute – 6

Solid performance in the middle having come on for Cedric early on. Limited squad depth surely means he won’t be going to Celta Vigo this month.

Danny Ings, 2nd Substitute – N/A

Just four touches of the ball after coming on late on, but it was good to see other Saints players winning the game. Hasenhuttl has handled his and other’s game time brilliantly this year.

Che Adams, 3rd Substitute – N/A

No chance to get involved after coming on very late, but could get his chance with a start in the cup at the weekend.
