Jannik Vestergaard

Vestergaard provides good ability in the air when defending and potentially when Saints have a set-piece, but other traits of his don’t seem to fit into the Premier League well at all.

His lack of pace is often exposed by quick forwards and his height makes him not very agile – characteristics that sometimes makes him a target for the opposition.

The Danish international has made 12 appearances in all competition this campaign, with three of those games seeing Saints secure a clean sheet.

With Crystal Palace having a mixture of height in Cenk Tosun and trickery in Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew, it remains to be seen which way Ralph Hasenhuttl will go if Bednarek is unavailable.
