Liverpool Get Lucky

They say that it only takes a second to score a goal, but it’s still rare to see two match defining moments within about 20 seconds of each other. But that’s what happened, much to SFC’s chagrin.

Danny Ings once again led the charge squeezing himself between two defending players in an attempt to breach the Liverpool box. Fabinho swipes his foot at the Saint, who tumbles to the ground.

Referee Kevin friend waved away penalty appeals and VAR wasn’t interested either. Replays suggest that while Fabinho initially won the ball, his leg may have come back around to catch the striker.

The Englishman appeared shocked about the lack of a penalty and wasn’t shy about showcasing his disappointment to the thousands in attendance.
