Southampton are going to London midweek to take on Spurs in the FA Cup replay and it will be interesting to see who the managers play this go around.

With both teams having an extended break between matches after the replay, it would not shock me if we see two strong sides as they give it a go for a chance to host Norwich in the next round.

The hosts are coming off of a victory over City and the Saints will look to bounce back after a tough loss to the champions elect, Liverpool.

How Tottenham Will Win

I suspect we are in for a match that is very similar to the first match a few weeks ago. Mourinho, will want to be defensively sound so they will be willing to concede the majority of the position to Southampton and look to hit on the counter with their pacey skill players like Son, Moura, and now Bergwijn.

I think the Portuguese manager would be more than happy with a 1-0, 2-0 result that sees them through to the next round. Southampton, still have issues breaking down a low-block and undoubtedly he knows that so he is going to invite the pressure and hope a shot does not find the back of the net.

If they keep a clean sheet I see them managing at least a goal and they will go through without having to deal with penalties.

How Southampton Will Win

The Saints will need a repeat of their performance against Palace. And by that, I mean they are going to need to bang in some goals from distance if they hope to avoid pens and move onto the next round.

I think it would be wise for Hasenhuttl to play either Danso or Walker-Peters at right-back instead of James Ward-Prowse because we missed his presence in the midfield this weekend and he really helps the team when he is in his natural position. Unlikely we see Walker-Peters but Ralph may take a chance on him with it being a cup match.

Next, where will the goals come from? Will Ings get back into the goals or will we need someone else to step up? Ings, always seems to get his chances every match. It is just a matter of him converting them or not. Think he could be good for two this match and he sends us through into the next round.
