Southampton vs Newcastle

This is where I think Southampton could hit their first snag in this run of matches. The Saints have not beaten Newcastle since April of 2016 and the Magpies just seem to know how to get a result against Southampton.

Earlier this season Newcastle managed a 2-1 comeback victory against the Saints at St. James’ Park. Southampton, still seem to struggle to hold onto leads at times so if they manage to strike first in this match they need to keep their composure and try to keep a clean sheet as best as possible. By this time Walker-Peters should be fully integrated into the team and hopefully the defense can stand firm.

Hopefully the Saints can snap this little unbeaten streak Newcastle has over them and can claim all three points but I think a draw may be the most likely result of this match.

Predicted Score

Southampton 1-1 Newcastle
