Jonathan Forte
Back in the 2010-11 season, Forte was brought in during the January transfer window to add more goals to Nigel Adkins’ squad.
He didn’t manage to score many in a Saints shirt, but one match against MK Dons will see him fondly remembered.
Saints found themselves 2-0 down at St Mary’s in what was a vital game at the top of the League One table, but Forte changed the game with two goals in two minutes.
The Barbados international striker halved the deficit three minutes after coming on with a close-range volley, and was then on hand just second later to turn home a loose ball on the six-yard line.
The momentum in the game turned on Forte’s introduction and Saints eventually won 3-2 thanks to Lee Barnard’s third.
