Ali Dia (obviously!)

Dia is well-known for being surely the worst player to ever play for Saints after only making one appearance for the club.

As the famous Premier League story goes, Dia was recommended to then Saints boss Graeme Souness and claimed to be George Weah’s cousin.

However, his only showing at the Dell showed why he was nowhere near the standard of Weah or indeed the Premier League and he was substituted off after only being brought on as a sub minutes earlier.

Ironically, Dia – the worst player in the club’s history – replaced the best player in the club’s history in Matt Le Tissier in that game.
