Southampton: Five players who played for both Saints and Burnley

Southampton host Burnley at St Mary’s on Saturday and will be looking to get back to winning ways.

Two successive defeats to Liverpool and Spurs in League and Cup respectively have disrupted a good run of results for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side, but should perhaps be looked at for the positive performances in both.

Having not played last weekend due to the scheduling of Premier League’s winter break, Saints have slipped back into the bottom half of the table but still sit a healthy seven points away from the relegation zone.

Burnley arrive on the South Coast just two points ahead of Saints but have hit some seriously impressive form recently – beating Leicester at home and Manchester United away before claiming a 0-0 draw with Arsenal last time out.
