Danny Ings

Ings is always an obvious choice for these articles before a Saints game, but it’s easy to see why.

With 18 goals so far this season, the striker has become the go to man for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side and put himself back in the thoughts of England manager Gareth Southgate.

The 27-year-old deserves huge praise – not only for his form this year but for the way he has battled past injury problems to stay consistently fit.

A lot remains for Ings to play for this campaign with Saints still not safe from relegation, whilst the Premier League golden boot and a Euro 2020 squad place are also potentially up for grabs.

In Fantasy Premier League, he is the fourth-highest scoring forward in the top-flight and is stilla cheaper option than most at £7.2m.

FPL points this season: 138
