Jan Bednarek

The Poland international defender goes under the radar somewhat but has really proved his worth for Saints since breaking into the team back in the 2017/18 season.

Like any young player (Bednarek is still 23 remember), he is capable of the odd mistake. But his potential is such that he could become a real bargain buy.

Not many people would have known who he was when Saints snapped him up for £5m from Lech Poznan, but Saints fans now know him as a consistent performer in their backline.

To date he has 21 senior international caps to his name and has started to really show his football brain, with a knack of being in the right place at the right time to make a block or tackle.
