4. Second goal vs Newcastle in 93/94

With the Sky Sports cameras in town to capture ever kick of this meeting with Newcastle, Matt really turned it on to shock that nation.

After scoring a superb first goal (possibly mentioned later in this article), he went and found the top corner with a brilliant volley from well outside the area.

There didn’t look too much on for any other player in the position that Le Tissier was, but the Saints talisman controlled nonchalantly on his thigh before looping the ball into the far corner of the net.
