A representative from each Premier League team will partake in a FIFA knockout tournament to determine who is champion of the virtual pitch.

Angus Gunn, will be representing Southampton in the first ever virtual tournament between other Premier League players. Each player will use the team the play for in real life in this virtual tournament.

No group stage however, it will just be a knockout style tournament. The draw will take place on Monday 20th April on Sky Sports. The whole field has not been determined yet but Gunn could face the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Todd Cantwell, Ryan Fredricks, Diogo Joto, Raheem Sterling, and Wilfried Zaha. The full roster of players will be set before the draw takes place.

After the draw, the matches will start the following day on Tuesday 21st April and will conclude with the Championship Friday 24th April.

This will be a unique opportunity to see Premier League players in a new light and a new environment while also promoting everyone to stay home during these trying times. Being able to watch some of the league players interact with each other on a new platform while still competing with each other will be a great time for all.

Now, we get to see if our young goalkeeper has some skill about him on the virtual pitch and hopefully he can bang in some goals with his teammates. Wonder who he will start in net?

I know I will be cheering on Gunn as if it was a cup final and hopefully he gets a shot at whoever is representing Leicester for a little bit of revenge.
