Nathan Redmond vs Crystal Palace away

Into January, Saints had really got themselves out of trouble and were looking towards the top end of the table rather than the bottom.

A win at Selhurst Park would lift them into the top half, and that’s just what they were on their way to as Redmond struck midway through the first half.

The Saints attacker brought down a measured pass forward from Jack Stephens but had defender Martin Kelly close behind him.

On drop of the shoulder changed this though, and suddenly Redmond had the space to fire a stunning strike into the far top corner to leave goalkeeper Vicente Guaita with no chance.

Saints eventually went on to record a 2-0 win here thanks to another superb goal from Stuart Armstrong in the second-half.
