Moussa Djenepo vs Sheffield United away

Djenepo had already shown his ability to shoot from range against Brighton but outdid his own efforts at Bramall Lane.

The score was at 0-0 and Saints had seen a a goal for their hosts ruled out by VAR for offside, but the opening goal, when it came, was worthy of winning any contest.

Djenepo turned Oliver Norwood inside out midway into the Sheffield United half and sensed a real opportunity to score before a body feint then put two defenders out of the game.

Then, just as he might have lost his head and blazed wildly over, he arrowed a strike into the far corner to give Dean Henderson no chance at all.

The summer signing really should be given time at St Mary’s because his two goals this season have shown that he can win Saints Premier League games.
