Southampton: Saints reportedly in talks with Deyovaisio Zeefuik

The defender currently plays for Groningen in the Dutch league and is linked with a number of clubs including Southampton.

The 22-year-old defender has been a true star for his club this season and it is no wonder Southampton have their eyes on him. According to a tweet from ManuLonjon, the player is in advanced talks with Saints and Reims in the French league.

The Right-back position has been a question mark for some time now for the club and Ralph has assessed a number of options with Zeefuik being the latest.

He is very good at not just winning the ball but also when he has the ball he is able to dribble and is a great crosser. He has a couple assists this season and completes nearly 80% of his passes.

This is exactly the type of full-back that fits into Ralph’s system and could be worth a look if he does not cost too much. Saints have several options at right-back as of now but the manager does not seem to be set on one of them just yet.

The young defender seems keen on taking the next step in his career so it makes sense he is looking for a top 5 league to move too. Hopefully, the club can lure him to test the Premier League out see if he has what it takes.
