The 21-year-old is looking to leave his current club and is in pursuit by a number of Premier League Club including our own Southampton.

He looked to be on path to join Milan but the club quickly changed course and are now looking to bring in Luka Jovic instead. So now, the young Italian is looking for a new suitor and Southampton is in the hunt.

He could still end up in Milan but he has become less of a priority. Scamacca, scored 11 goals for his club in the Italian second league this season and really came into his own. He is a tall striker (6ft 5in) who does not possess a ton of pace but is a natural finisher.

With some coaching and in a good system he could thrive and really become a goal scoring threat. The Saints have sent scouts to watch the player and they are very familiar with him and his skill set.

Personally, I would like to see the club pursue the player and get him in the Red & White and start to develop him. He would fit in well next to Ings or any of the other strikers and would not cost the team a lot of money either due to his age and the club he is coming from.

Saints do not necessarily need another striker at the moment but it would not hurt. Ings was the main goal threat with the other strikers lagging behind him. If we could get Scamacca for cheap I would be all for it.
