Ellyes Skhiri

With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg reportedly being lined up for a move this summer, Saints will need to be looking at players who do a similar job.

Skhiri is in his first season with FC Koln but has proved to be a shrewd buy for them after arriving from Montpellier.

He has averaged 2.1 tackles and 2.3 interceptions per game after featuring in 23 of Koln’s league games so far – proving that he is ideal to play the same role as Hojbjerg.

Tackling and interceptions are vital for the way that Saints play under Ralph Hasenhuttl and a player who can do both can win the ball back to spark counter-attacks forward.
