Southampton: Buyout clause for Rashica could be reduced soon
Werder Bremen star may soon leave his club and his release clause will soon drop down to just€18m instead of €38m in June.
Southampton, have shown interest in Rashica and with a lower release clause it could be just the thing to convince them to pull the trigger and try to sign the player this summer. The reason his clause could drop that much is if the club is relegated to the second division of German soccer.
Rashica, has loads of talent and there is no way he would be willing to stay at a club that is not playing top flight football.
Of course, the Saints are not the only club interested in the player. There are allegedly other Premier League clubs interested who pose competition for the Saints to get the signature of the attacker. I believe if the club is relegated the Saints need to at least attempt to sign the player.
He is extremely talented and could add another threat to our attack. The player scored 14 goals for both club and country this season with 7 of them coming in the Bundesliga.
He is a proven attacker and the Saints need to start being more aggressive with their transfer targets or they will continue to sign their second or third options and they have not always turned out like we have all seen.
The German league will be resuming player later this month so by June we should know whether or not Rashica can be purchased for discount or not.
