It is now two months since we last saw Southampton in Premier League action and a lack of football is probably starting to get to a few fans.

Saints’ last game was played on the 7th March as they lost 1-0 to Newcastle United, but it is still a possibility that the 2019/20 season might be played to its conclusion.

A lot of things have to be sorted before a ball can be kicked again though and huge safety concerns will still remain.

Because of this, we feel it is a good use of time to look back at some of the best days in the club’s history.

In this article, we will look back at three huge wins that Saints claimed on the 8th May (yesterday if you didn’t realise).
