RB Leipzig (3rd)

Perhaps the biggest link that Saints have back to German football at the moment is their manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.

The Austrian worked his way up through the levels of the German game and then managed both FC Ingolstadt 04 and RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.

Hasenhuttl took the reigns at Leipzig in their first ever Bundesliga season in 2016/17 and led them to a superb 2nd-placed finish. He left in 2018 after leading them to sixth in the following campaign.

Leipzig are disliked by many fans of other teams in Germany because of the huge amounts of finance that has fuelled their rise to the top-flight, but their on supporters won’t care one bit with regular Champions League football now on the menu.

Next game: RB Leipzig vs SC Freiburg, Saturday 16th May, 2:30pm UK time
