The Right-Back is on loan from Tottenham and wants to spend the rest of the season with the Southampton if the season resumes.

He is on a six-month loan deal and if the season does resume his deal would end before the season ended. Walker-Peters hopes he can get an extension with Southampton and make a statement with his play in the remaining games.

He has only made one appearance for the Saints and wants to make sure he makes the most of the time he has with the club to make an impression.

It is no secret the Saints will be in the market for a Right-back this summer and there is no reason KWP should not be one of those options the club looks at.

He is still only 23-years-old and has shown he has the makings of a solid wing-back he just has not had consistent play time.

If the season does resume and the Saints can secure safety relatively soon, they should let Walker-Peters play the remaining games just to see what he is made of.

If he does show himself to be a Premier League quality defender I think it would be worth going after him in the summer and signing him permanently from Tottenham where he has struggled to break through.
