Southampton are uncertain about the future of Hojbjerg so they are ready to sign Ntcham from Celtic as his potential replacement.

The 24-year-old midfielder is a versatile player being able to play at any level in the midfield and has a lot of the same qualities that Hojbjerg has as a player.

Obviously, what we would be missing the most from Pierre would be his leadership and his personality that endears himself to the fans and teammates.

The Frenchman, has ability but he does not get consistent play time for the Scottish side and that could be an issue as we may not really know what he is truly capable of on the pitch.

The plus side of Ntcham not being a regular in the starting XI is his price will only be around £5m and would not cost the club too much to be brought in this summer.

The Saints are going to have a lot of questions to be answered this summer and we could see a very different team from the one we saw last.

The future for Hojbjerg is still not known, he could very easily stay another season but he cannot be blamed for wanting to play European football and competing for titles because Southampton are just not there yet.

Hasenhuttl, will need to support of the club and the board if he is to succeed and hopefully, they will get him the players he wants. Obviously, Ntcham has talent if the Austrian has taken notice in him and if we can get him for cheap, I saw why not.
