Southampton: Club ready to make offer for defender Omar Colley
Omar Colley currently plays for Italian side Sampdoria and it is reported Southampton are ready to make an offer of €15m for the player.
It seems like every other day the Saints are linked to a new defender and today is no different. It is an open secret that Hasenhuttl would like to bolster the defense and has looked everywhere for new centre-backs.
Colley, is 27-years-old and has made over 20 appearances for his club this season in all competitions. He is averaging 1.5 tackles per match and 4.5 clearances per match as well. He is a little bit older than what Hasenhuttl typically goes after but sometimes you just simply need some experienced players in your back line.
It is unclear if the player himself is tempted with a move to the Premier League. I would be a little surprised if the club does offer €15m for the defender as I believe there are better options out there for that price that the club could find.
There seems to be a lot up in the air for the Saints going into the summer and unless they sell a few of the out-of-favor players, I doubt they would be offering that type of money for a 27-year-old defender.
