Style of play must be perfected

It is well known that Ralph Hasenhuttl prefers his sides to play in a 4-2-2-2 system, and he has tried to implement it in his 18 months in charge so far.

However, it is fair to say that he has seen his team play inconsistently whilst using it to date.

In basic terms, the Saints players must perfect their jobs in the 4-2-2-2 and the pressing patterns, but this may well come with the arrival of more players who are better at playing in this way.

When Saints get it right, they look to have the making of a great team. Good displays must become more common for things to develop further.
