Bloated squad cut down

Saints currently have nine players out on loan deals with other clubs and this needs to change.

High earners in the first-team squad such as Fraser Forster, Mario Lemina and Guido Carrillo need to be moved on permanently if they don’t have a future at the club.

Rectifying this will free funds for transfers – both in transfer fees received and in extra room on the wage bill.

As mentioned on the previous slide, Saints being able to progress under Hasenhuttl may well depend on players being brought in who can carry out specific jobs in his system.
