Jannik Vestergaard’s time at Southampton seems to be coming to an end but he may not be leaving the premier league just yet.

According to a new report, Leicester City are apparently ready to bid and bring in the tall lumbering centre-back. Leicester are prone to having their best players picked off nowadays like the Saints of a few seasons ago so it makes sense they are looking to bring in more support in the back.

Vestergaard, was a mainstay at the back for a bit before losing his position to Jack Stephens. Now, it seems as though the club wants the Great Dane gone and to recoup the cost they paid for him two summers ago.

The rumored price is supposedly around £26m and I say if the actual offer is anywhere near that number, they need to accept it instantly. That money, in addition to the potential Hojbjerg money, could go a long way in bringing in new players to help revamp the club.

I think supporters have realized for some time now that the club is in for a shake-up and we could see a very different squad at the start of the next season than we did at the start of this season.

Next. New contract just the beginning for Will Smallbone at Saints. dark

With Ralph signing his new 4 year deal it is time the Southampton boatd commits to him financially in terms of transfers and give him what he wants and needs to succeed and bring us back to competing for Europa spots.

I have faith in the club and hopefully they reward us with some good business in the transfer market.
