Later this week, Southampton will take the pitch again and play a Premier League match against Norwich City as the season resumes.

The Saints restart the season sitting on 34 points which is good enough for 14th and 7 points clear of relegation. They are not safe yet and these final matches will be massive for them to stay up and for their confidence.

We will preview the Saints first three matches and see how many points we can expect them to take from each.

Norwich vs Southampton: 19 June 2020

The much anticipated return of the Premier League is right around the corner and the Saints open up with a solid chance at getting three points in their return.

They face off with basement dwellers Norwich who are odds-on favourites to be relegated this season. The first meeting between the two sides saw the Saints victorious and any other result than a Saints victory would be disappointing.

If you want to finish in the upper half of the table, these are the games that you must win and win comfortably in order to maximize your points haul. This match is away and we all know how much better the Saints play away as opposed to home.

I expect a victory here but it may not be a pretty one.
