Saints ready to pay Salisu release clause
According to Spanish news outlet AS, both Saints and Rennes are willing to pay the £12m it will take to buy Mohammed Salisu out of his Real Valladolid contract.
It had been reported recently that Saints’ first offer for the 21-year-old was lower than the release clause despite the relatively fee required to activate it.
Salisu does look to be a perfect fit for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s squad and has a tremendous amount of potential.
However, it appears that the work permit required to play in England may also be a problem for the Ghanaian.
