Mentally a brand new team

The last few seasons if the Saints conceded two goals in 3 minutes that would been the game right there. They would have hid in their shell and just try to make sure the score line did not get out-of-hand.

Now, Hasenhuttl has instilled mental toughness into this team and they fought tooth and bone to stay in the match and ultimately get a result. This is something supporters have just not seen in the recent years and should be a source of excitement and hint at things to come.

Southampton have been notorious for dropping points from winning positions but if Hasenhuttl can get this team to stay as mentally tough as they have shown since the restart those days maybe a thing of the past.
