Buy Him – Kyle Walker-Peters

A good number of Saints fans will have recognized Kyle Walker-Peters was the man of the match.  He started the counter attack via interception in the build up to Danny Ings goal, and was the point man of a number of counter attacks running side by side with Nathan Redmond.  More importantly, he has the pace to cover for Jack Stephens and Jannik Vestergaard when they are caught out by pacy strikers.  On two occasions, he outran everyone in recovery while Bournemouth were on a break.  Walker-Peters also made the block of the game in the first half sliding across his own net to break up an attacking, low-hit cross.

Walker-Peters in a swap, with some cash coming back Saints way, for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg looks like a formality at this point.  As soon as the season ends, we will likely hear about this deal, not as if Southampton fans have not talked about it enough already.  Yan Valery needs a player like this to push him to develop and the two could partner to sure up the right-side for a long time.  Walker-Peters is clearly the every week starter at this point and it would be an understatement to say there would be some disappointment if he is not a full-time player in 2020-21.
