Southampton took their points tally for the 2019/20 season to 49 with a pleasing 2-0 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday.

Saints had to see of plenty of attacking intent from the Cherries, who were desperate for a win, but goals from Danny Ings and Che Adams secured a fourth win since the restart for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men.

Tactical tweaks from the Saints boss have really improved his side’s performances recently and given them a great chance of having success next season.

Bournemouth look set for the Championship though and are now relying on other results going their way to get out of the relegation zone by next weekend.
