Southampton have reportedly made a move to sign Liverpool player Harry Wilson who has interest from multiple Premier League clubs.

Harry Wilson, spent the last season on loan at Bournemouth where he had some moments he shined but overall was not a spectacular season. The midfielder is wanted mainly by newly promoted Leeds United but now Southampton are apparently interested in the Liverpool youngster.

He is now 23 and will want to start playing first team football so a move away from the champions makes sense.

I do not particular see the reason why Southampton would pursue this player but if Ralph sees something about the player he likes then I have to trust the manager.

Wilson, scored 7 goals last season, including a few from set pieces and is under contract at Liverpool until 2023.

So far, Southampton have reportedly already made some moves in the transfer window although they have yet to make any official announcements. They will welcome defender Mohammed Salisu and officially add Kyle Walker-Peters while selling Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The new season is just around the corner now and the club will want to make the rest of their transfers happen quickly so all players can be ready to play in September. I suspect a new midfielder will be brought in but not necessarily Harry Wilson.

It will be a more defensive-minded player to replace Hojbjerg but it seems like they do not have a specific target in mind just yet. I have faith in the board that they will make the right choices and back Hasenhuttl by getting him the players he wants.
