Player of the Season

There is only one man this can go to – Mr Danny Ings.

I just can’t describe to you how good it is to have a striker who you just know is going to hit the back of the net if he is given a chance, and I’m sure all other Saints fans will be feeling the same love after seeing him plunder 25 goals in 2019/20.

When I was growing up, I was naturally drawn to the goalscoring exploits of both James Beattie and Rickie Lambert and we now have a player who is just as important.

Ings and Ralph Hasenhuttl’s style of play are a match made in heaven and I just have a feeling we will be seeing that bond grow and grow over the next couple of years.
