Player of the Season

Danny Ings

With 22 crucial strikes last season, Ings claiming this award was never in any doubt. The striker’s services have proven the difference between an enjoyable jaunt to 11th place and a meek attempt to stay in the division.

The previous campaign saw Danny as one of the leading lights in the strikers union, only missing out on the golden boot by one goal. The player’s work rate also shows him to be a standout performer.

The Englishman is unafraid to pick up the ball from his own half in order to start moves. The number nine is also happy to get stuck in at the back when his side is under siege.

If Danny Ings fires on all cylinders in the forthcoming season then Saints can look forward to exciting times ahead.
