Southampton would like to sign a new CM here before the window shuts before January and they have made Ntcham their main target (via TEAMtalk).

The Celtic man wants a move away from the club and the Saints just moved two midfielders to Fulham over the weekend so it seems like a match that would benefit all parties.

Southampton have really started focusing on the Celtic midfielder after they saw one of their targets move to Juventus instead of the Premier League club.

Ntcham, is a sought after man but it Southampton seems to be the best landing spot for the player. He fits the system well and is the type of midfielder Ralph needs. Additionally, the Scottish club missed out on the Champions League and will not be receiving any money from that so selling players may have to happen for them.

The two clubs have a good relationship with each other due to a number of players going between the clubs. Most recently, Forster and Elyounoussi spent the season on-loan in Scotland and we recently purchased a one Stuart Armstrong from the Scottish champions.

With the season rapidly approaching the club will need to make a move sooner rather than later. The Saints are a little thin at the CM position at the moment and Ralph will want to get the new player up to speed as soon as possible.

I think if they do make a move for Ntcham it will happen this week and we will start seeing some rumblings if the deal is agreed upon. Until then we will continue to keep you updated on all the rumours surrounding the club.
