Southampton: Saints have interest in midfielder Hamza Choudhury
Southampton have been looking for a replacement for Hojbjerg and now it appears they have the Leicester man in their sights.
A new report has stated that Southampton have the 22-year-old midfielder marked a potential replacement for Hojbjerg and Leicester are open to listening to offers.
Leicester have a lot of talent in the midfield so they may be willing to let the player go for the right price. It is unclear how much they would want for the player but one would have to assume it will not be a tremendous amount.
The Foxes already have the likes of Tielemans, Ndidi, and Praet and Choudhury may be the odd man out this season.
Personally, I would like this potential move. From what I have seen out of Choudhury I think he would fit the Southampton system very well. He is strong defensively and would fill the Hojbjerg role extremely well.
He is also the perfect age for Hasenhuttl as he likes working with younger players so he can mold them into the type of players he wants and needs for his system.
This transfer window has been a little bit of a disappointment for Saint’s fans as they have only purchased one player and have failed to move others they wanted to get off the wage book.

But there is still time in this window to get some business done and at the very least I hope they can move Hoedt and Carrillo and get them off the books.
The Premier League starts just this week so hopefully they surprise us and gets some business done before this window slams shut.
