There has been interest by teams like Tottenham for striker Danny Ings but Southampton and Ralph Hasenhuttl insist he is here to stay.

Ralph was asked at his presser today about Danny Ings and he finaly shot down the rumours that there is no chance the player goes anywhere.

This is encouraging because fans started to worry after Tottenham came knocking for the player and seeing if they could lure him away from the South Coast. and you can not blame them with Southampton’s history of selling their best players for a profit.

The Saints have not started the season out on the right foot but there is no doubt Ings will find his form here soon. The club takes on Tottenham on Sunday so it will be a big test to see if the team can bounce back from really two terrible games.

What those two matches proved is the team is very thing depth-wise and Ralph is begging for reinforcements.  There is a little less than a month left in the transfer window so the team will need to start getting the ball rolling quickly if they hope to get deals done.

They could still sell some players but I think we will all sleep a little better at night knowing that Danny Ings is here to stay for the long-term.
