Southampton: Club reportedly negotiating for Jovane Cabral
Southampton are now apparently in talks with Sporting CP over their talented winger Jovane Cabral for a price of around €20m.
In a report you can read here, the two clubs are confident a deal for the player can get deal done relatively soon.
The Saints are not the only club interested in the winger as both Fulham and West Ham have been linked with the 22-year-old.
Sporting, apparently have to sell some players because of their failure to make Champions League so this is a chance for a club like Southampton to sign a high-touted youngster for cheaper than normal.
With a move for Sofiane Boufal away from the club looking more and more likely to come in the following weeks it makes sense the club is looking for another winger as they would be very shallow at that position if and when Boufal leaves.
In his last season with Sporting, Cabral scored 6 goals and assisted on 3. He is exactly the type of player Hasenhuttl would want and need and could create an exciting winger-duo with Moussa Djenepo for the future.

His pricetag would be close to a club record for the Saints but it is about time we started spending money on quality players. The season has not started out as well as they would have liked and the lack of quality in the team has been exposed in certain areas of the pitch.
Along with a new winger, I think the club will sign a new CM. They were linked today with Everton midfielder Tom Davies on a season-long loan. I would not mind this move as I believe he would be a better option currently than Oriel Romeu.
