Southampton only have a week or so left to get any business done until January they have now shown their interest in Spurs player Ryan Sessegnon.

A report from the Athletic, now has the Saints and Hertha Berlin interested in the youngster for a loan deal. The 20-year-old is capable of playing multiple positions and I believe would be a good fit for the team this season.

This is not the first time we have been linked with the player. When he was still on Fulham the Saints had shown a ton of interest in bringing him in. If the Saints do get the player to come in on-loan he will probably play in the midfield were the team is a little thin.

I suspect there will be a few deals done before the transfer window is up and I hope they get rid of some of the deadwood that has been on this team for some time now.

And as nice as a loan deal could be I would prefer the team splashed some cash and brought someone in permanently.

The current squad is thin and there are some definite gaps that need to be addressed and hopefully the recent rumours have some truth to them as January is a long ways away and a lot can go wrong between now and then.

Next. Four players expected to leave Saints before deadline. dark

If Southampton can pick up another victory against West Brom they will have some momentum going into the international break can start winning more games against better competition.

Expectations were and still are high this season and the Saints have not lived up to them so far. Hopefully some fresh blood will liven up the team and they can start living up to those expectations.
