According to a report from the Daily Mail’s Craig Hope, West Ham are looking to sign defender Jannik Vestergaard on loan.

The Dane has struggled to adjust to speed of the Premier League overall and is not a regular starter at the moment.

However, his performance against Burnley on Saturday proved his worth to Saints and there may still be time for him to work his way back into plans.

With no concrete links to central defenders, it will be vital to keep Vestergaard around as one of four options for the two central-defensive roles.
