Strikers and Substitutes

Danny Ings, Striker – 7.5

Constantly a threat to score and nearly had two first half goals.  The best chance, a glancing header from JWP’s FK.  Was utilized dropping into the ACM for direct passes which he flicked on to his runners expertly.  Is going to find it tougher to score this season with so much attention on him.

Che Adams, Striker – 6.5

Starting to press for a goal again and his lack of finishing is reminiscent of the start of 2019.  Should have tapped into the far post for his first and drove a shot wide from 18 yards out which we all know Ings would have buried.  Still had good moments of hold up play and is building his partnership bit by bit.

Nathan Redmond, Substitute Attacking-Mid – 7

Returned as a sub, replacing Moussa Djenepo on the left side. A couple driving runs and “should have shot” moments.

Shane Long, Substitute Striker – N/A

Given approximately 10 minutes with stoppage time to help earn 3 points.

Next. Saints finally secure impressive midfield signing. dark
