Wesley Hoedt to Lazio

Hoedt’s loan move back to his former club Lazio is expected to be confirmed today despite a deal being completed last week.

Renowned football reporter Fabricio Romano broke the news that a return to Rome was close for the former Dutch international, but Hoedt’s medical was cancelled twice for unknown reasons.

The 26-year-old signed for Saints for a fee of around £14m back in 2017 and Lazio are believed to have an option to buy him permanently again next summer.
