Service to Werner cut off…eventually

Timo Werner took his two goals excellently on Saturday but was partly aided by weak Saints defending. He will certainly cause many teams a problem this campaign though.

After a first-half where he really troubled the visitors, Saints shut off the service into him in the second period and he became much less of a factor.

The first period saw him have eight touches in the penalty area and 22 touches in all, but that went down to just one touch in the box from 13 touches in after half-time.
