Saints sensed a weakness in Kepa

The absence of new goalkeeper signing Edouard Mendy was a big blow to Chelsea and meant that the accident-prone Kepa Arrizabalaga came back into the side.

Saints clearly sensed a chance to force a mistake from him and had no less than six shots from outside the penalty area during the game.

The mistake did eventually come from the Spaniard and led to a goal – even if it was not directly from a Saints shot.
