Number 1

Jannik Vestergaard

Talk about a bounce-back and all credit is due to the player. He could have easily left this summer or just given up but he worked. And that hard work has paid off and we have a brand new Centre-back. It seemed Jack Stephens starting position was a lock until Mohammed Salisu was ready to come in but the Dane had other ideas.

He seems to be doing it all right now and looks to be quickly solidifying his spot in the starting XI especially after a very shaky performance from Bednarek against Chelsea.

He has another big match against Everton coming up and if he can perform well against the Toffees he may find himself in the starting XI for the foreseeable future.
