Southampton secured a third win from four and took their Premier League points tally to 10 with a comfortable 2-0 win over Everton on Sunday afternoon.

Much of the talk ahead of the game has been about the anniversary of Saints’ 9-0 loss to Leicester and how Everton had started the season in great form.

However, a controlling performance from the hosts and goals from James Ward-Prowse and Che Adams ensured that the rest of the top-flight took note as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side moved up to fifth place.

Things look to be really coming together now and all the players have a full understanding of just what their role in the team requires them to do – exciting times ahead for us fans perhaps?
