Southampton looked as good as ever against Everton this past weekend and are now unbeaten in four straight matches and sit on ten points.

After the Chelsea match, we took a look at Saints’ top 5 players right now and we will continue to update those rankings each week. Will they move up? or will they move down? It will all depend on how they play and how effective they are in helping the team get results.

Last week the top five (from 5 to 1) was Romeu, Adams, Kyle Walker-Peters, Danny Ings, and Jannik Vestergaard. Let us see how things shake up this week in our power rankings.

Number 5

James Ward-Prowse – Previous Rank: Unranked

Ward-Prowse is a newcomer to the Top 5 and it is well deserved after the match he turned in against Everton. He was active both offensively and defensively and because of his hard work he was rewarded with his first goal of the campaign.

It was a lovely finish past Pickford from a tight angle and really showed just how well he can strike the ball. The Englishman has really flourished under Hasenhuttl and this is the type of performance we have grown use to seeing out of him.

If he continues this form he will only climb these power rankings.
