Southampton picked up another victory on Sunday against Villa and continue their unbeaten streak and really look good as a team.

It takes a team to win matches in the Premier League and Southampton have had players step up and play some fantastic football to start this season. Continuing with our Power Ranking series we take a look at the top 5 Saints now after the victory against Villa.

Last week the top 5, in this order from 5-1, was James Ward-Prowse, Oriol Romeu, Jannik Vestergaard,  Che Adams, and Danny Ings. Let us take a look at who moved up and who moved down.

Number 5

Oriol Romeu – Last week 4 (-1)

His performance is not the reason why the Spaniard dropped a rank in the power rankings this week. Simply 4 other players have just been that good.

He has been one of the most consistent performers of the year so far and has really shut up a lot of his critics who thought he could no longer be a productive player. He has been an important cog in Ralph’s system and that’s why he finds himself in the top 5 for the third straight week.
